Table Taps That Travel
Spring has come and gone which means Summer has arrived! The season of sunshine and outdoor fun. Whether it’s a wedding, concert, corporate outing, or beer festival, you won’t have to go far to pour yourself a beverage. That’s right! Table Tap’s systems have the ability to go mobile. From mobile kegerators that can be strategically moved throughout a venue to mobile taprooms that can travel the country. Table Tap understands the importance of being able to follow the crowd and ensure that nobody is left thirsty.
Mobile Taprooms: How They Work?
Bring your brand and the experience of self-pour with you on the road and to any event! Here’s all that you’ll need:
- Truck capable of hauling (similar or higher towing capacity than an F250)
- Refrigerated trailer
- Generator to power electronics and refrigeration
- Verizon CradlePoint Modem to keep you connected to the Cloud wherever you go
- The best custom draft system provided by Table Tap
- Self-pour technology provided by Table Tap
- Fully integrated POS system provided Table Tap
- Only 1 staff member to operate everything!
Depending on the size of your trailer, the sweet spot for mobile taprooms is anywhere from 8 – 32 taps. The way it works is the same as a traditional taproom: Customers are empowered to pour their own beverage and then are charged accordingly by the ounce. Depending on what type of event you’re catering to, your model may vary:
Concerts, Festivals, Tailgates: Individual RFID Cards
Speed and convenience are key! During the heat of the summer, the last thing people want is to stand in line waiting for a drink. The sooner they can get a drink in their hand and back to the music, the cornhole boards, or maybe even the bathroom, the better!
Once your mobile taprooms are in place and the generator is fired up, all you need is one person responsible for cranking out RFID cards. Through our fully integrated POS, customers can either load a prepaid balance onto their card or use a post-pay card that is synced to their credit card. After they have their card, they can refill their drink as they please. The system is also perfect for beer festivals as customers can control the size of their pours and taste as many different beers as they want.
Parties, Weddings, Corporate Events: Open Bar
Is there a private event requesting some easy-to-serve booze? Put your mobile taprooms in Party Mode and eliminate the need for a staff member and RFID cards entirely! During Party mode, beverages (beer, wine, cider, cocktails, and more) can be poured without the need for RFID activation. Table Tap’s technology will still track the number of ounces poured throughout the party. A party can either set a prepaid max spend limit for the event or just pay for the total amount poured at the end of the event.
Why Going Mobile Makes Sense?
If you’re a brewery or taproom owner, going mobile gives you an opportunity to increase your brand exposure across high-volume crowds. It also gives you the chance to generate revenues during times or seasons where your brick-and-mortar location is not as profitable.
If you’re an independent owner, you will benefit from substantially lower overhead expenses. The cost of real estate and labor continues to increase at an alarming rate if you can even find the right space and labor. Going mobile allows ultimate flexibility, eliminates a lease obligation, and lets you operate with an ultra-lean staff. You can also avoid the headaches of obtaining a liquor license by leasing your mobile unit to venues and or operators that already have their own liquor licenses.
Mobile Direct Draw Units (Kegerators)
While mobile taprooms can travel from coast-to-coast, a mobile self-pour station can simply be moved throughout the venue. Table Tap’s turnkey, mobile kegerator units are built to do just that.
We provide top-of-the-line direct draw refrigeration units on casters with our technology attached so that the units can be easily wheeled around to different spots. The only thing needed at each spot is a power outlet. Just like with the mobile taprooms, individual RFID cards can be available to the masses or the system can be put in Party Mode for private groups. The sweet spot for these units is 1-8 taps. Table Tap can also provide a dual-zone refrigeration unit that serves beer and wine at their desired temperatures out of the same unit.
Why Mobile Units?
Maybe you’re a brewery or hotel that is already open but want to provide your customers with a self-pour experience. A mobile self-pour unit requires zero to little additional construction to accommodate. Or maybe your service staff is just getting bogged down with too many orders at once. A mobile unit can take the stress off your existing staff. Let your customers pour their own beer so that your bartenders have more time to prepare other libations. You might also want a mobile unit to keep indoors during the winter months, but then move the unit outside to a patio or pool deck during the summer months.
Maybe you’re a family entertainment center that offers different kinds of privatized, group experiences. A mobile unit can be moved from bowling lane to bowling lane, hitting bay to hitting bay, or from room to room. Doing so will offer your private parties a more VIP experience and make sure that they never have to go far or wait long to refill their glass.
Maybe you’re a company that attends multiple trade shows and other events throughout the course of a year. Offering attendees beer out of a custom branded self-pour unit will be sure to turn heads and differentiate your booth.
Self-pour is a concept that appeals to a variety of business models and a wide range of demographics. As life returns to a pre-pandemic state and warmer weather approaches, there will be a slew of summertime events on the horizon. Don’t miss your opportunity to capitalize on these gold mines… Make self-pour mobile!
